The largest part of the apprenticeship is conducted in the maintenance department. After having completed basic training at the apprentice training centre of Allit AG, the apprentices rotate through the three areas "Maintenance / Mechanical Workshop" (metalworking shop), "Maintenance / Electrical Workshop" as well as "Automation and Fixture Construction".

During this time, they acquire basic metalworking skills in techniques such as marking out, centre punching, filing, drilling, turning and milling, and they gain the necessary knowledge in mechanics an electrical engineering.

Apprentices have the opportunity to prepare themselves for practical exams on site. After completion of the apprenticeship, mechatronics technicians are usually employed in the field of maintenance, but are welcomed also in the manufacturing arena.
